Caufriez Concept Master in PERIPARTUM

3 chronological seminars + clinical stay

Periparto

Peripartum, considered as the period of preparation of the woman and her family for the birth of the child, is divided into four periods: preparation for fertilisation, gestation, delivery and postpartum. According to Dr. Caufriez, the peripartum is a period that extends from six months before fertilisation to three years after birth.

In each of these periods, the coordinated intervention of health professionals, at the service of the woman and her baby, is essential to accompany and prepare the family for the development and well-being of the future baby, and to make a significant contribution to a healthy model of society based on a philosophy that promotes the empowerment of women, the responsibility of conception and the right to decide freely and consciously about motherhood and the way of giving birth, including physiological measures to reduce the time of labour and to control pain.

The objectives of this specialisation are to train health professionals interested in the field of humanised childbirth, providing tools to prepare women for pregnancy (taking into account their status as a couple or single mother), for the birth of their baby (facilitating natural childbirth), as well as to normalise their physical and emotional state in the postpartum period.
It is aimed at health professionals (physiotherapists, doctors, midwives, psychologists, nurses) and movement professionals (physical education graduates who develop skills in health prevention with pregnant women) and fitness professionals with an EXPERT Certificate in the Hypopressive Method Caufriez Concept – Hypopressive Abdominal Gymnastics (Basic and Static levels).
To access the seminars, it is recommended to attend the first two seminars of the Hypopressive Method (it is not compulsory). The seminar material is accompanied by extensive theoretical and practical content. To gain access to the clinical practice, the trainee must pass a theoretical and practical exam.
The diploma and the title of peripartum expert are awarded if the practitioner has attended the specialised seminars and passed the exam.
